Project history

Launched in April 2002, our project was previously known as the Ivel Valley Countryside Project (IVCP). IVCP was itself launched in October 1992 and served east Bedfordshire’s countryside and communities for just under ten years. With the expansion of the project area in 2002, to cover north as well as east Bedfordshire, including Bedford town, we decided to change our project name to the Ivel and Ouse Countryside Project to reflect our new operational area.
