'The Riddy', Sandy

This 19 acre local nature reserve is owned by Sandy Town Council and managed in partnership with the Wildlife Trust and the Project. Launched in summer 1998 the site is being managed for wildlife and informal public enjoyment; and takes it's name from the small stream or 'riddy' which flows through it.

Look out for: lapwing, kingfisher, dragonflies, butterflies, purple loosestrife, watercress, and water voles along the riddy its self.
