Stanford Wood, Southill

This 57 acre site is managed as a commercial woodland by Forest Enterprise, with the Project assisting in public access and wildlife conservation management. The woodland is predominantly coniferous with occasional oak trees, hawthorn bushes and mature willows around a large pond.
Look for: sparrowhawk and woodpeckers; dragonflies and butterflies; and muntjack deer and foxes.
