The 'Navigator's Way'

A 7mile/ 11km walk based on the Rivel Ivel Navigation Channel between Shefford and Stanford. The walk takes its name from the Navigation Channel which was built between Biggleswade and Shefford in 1823 to transport goods to and from King's Lynn.
After leaving the channel the walk leads through open farmland to the villages of Clifton and Stanford, before returning the Shefford via Cockshoot Hill which offers some of the best views of the area.

Click here for a leaflet of the walk. It is a pdf of 1.4MB so watch out if you are on dial up or have a broadband limit.
